Sizing Specifications for Metal Buildings

Choosing the right size for your steel building is important. At Superior Commercial Structures, we offer a wide range of dimensions to meet any project size. Below are our detailed sizing guidelines to help you make an informed decision.

Width

Most standard buildings start at a standard 12’. They’re customizable to any width with the necessary structural support. Buildings wider than 32’ will likely require an onsite lift during installation.

Length

For length, the industry standard begins at 21’ and is customizable in 5’ increments beyond the initial length.

Height

The height ranges from 6’ to 14’. Some areas offer up to 20’ high side walls, depending on the manufacturer. Buildings with a height of 14’ must have a width of at least 18’.

You’ll want to consider these dimensions when designing your structure to ensure flexibility while maintaining the structural integrity.
